CAA protest: The CSIR UGC NET 2019 examination has been postponed in the states of Assam and Meghalaya due to the prevailing situation. The National Testing Agency or NTA has released a notification announcing the postponement of the National Eligibility Test (NET) to be held in December 2019 through its official website – csirnet.nta.nic.in.
According to the reports, the CSIR UGC NET 2019 December examination which was supposed to be held today December 15, 2019, has been postponed. while the examination will be conducted in the other states as per schedule, Assam and Meghalaya will face the exam on a rescheduled date, which will soon be announced by the NTA soon on the official website.
Candidates check the official notification on the website of NTA. The new dates of the UGC CSIR NET 2019 for Assam and Meghalaya will be announced anytime soon. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the NTA official website on a frequent basis.
The CAA protest had started since the CAB or Citizenship Amendment Bill was tabled in Rajya Sabha last Wednesday. Now the bill has been passed in both upper and lower houses of the parliament and has already become an Act from CAB. Several protests have been going on in the country, while people of Assam is of the opinion that the CAB or CAA is against the interest of the Assamese sentiment, others are protesting it claiming to be an anti-Muslim.
