The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Navel Academy (NA) examination I today, on January 8, 2020. As the notification for UPSC NDA has been released, interested candidates can apply for the examination on the official website of UPSC. The forms will be filled till January 28, 2020.

The candidates who will be getting admission in the National Defence Academy will be eligible to make their careers in Indian Army, Navy and Indian Air Force. There will be approx 418 vacancies filled through the examination, out of which 370 vacancies will be for the National Defence Academy and 48 vacancies are for the Naval Academy.

Follow the steps to apply for NDA 2020:

  • Visit the official website @
  • Click on the link for NDA application form
  • The online form is available in two parts
  • Fill and save all basic details in part 1
  • Save the registration number for part 2.
  • Fill the part 2 and make the payment via online banking or offline challan.
  • Candidates should upload their accurate signatures and photograph.

UPSC NDA 2020 eligibility criteria: To apply for the examination, the candidate should be unmarried and born before July 2, 2001 and not later than July 1, 2004.

If eligible, the candidates will be issued an e-admit card three weeks before the start of the examination. The e-admit card can be downloaded from the official website of UPSC. There will be negative marking for every wrong answers by the candidate in the Objective type question paper.

UPSC NDA 2020 Educational qualifications: 12th pass candidate from any recognized board or university can apply. The candidate will be eligible for Army Wing in the National Defence Academy.

While the candidates opting to make career in Indian Navy and Air Force, they should be 12th pass with Physics and Mathematics from any recognized board or university.

The first examination of NDA and NA will be conducted in April 2020.
