Commando 3 box office collection day 1: With six-packed Vidyut Jammwal, out and out action sequences and two gorgeous leading ladies Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar, the makers of Commando 3 have tried to ensemble all the factors for a hit action film but it seems like they forgot one essential factor-storyline.
Despite its previous two instalments being sleeper hits and earning merely around Rs 30 crore, we have Commando back on the silver screens with hopes to go bigger and better. However, going by the early reviews, it seems like the makers of the film would need to try harder.
- Trade analysts have predicted an opening of Rs 3-4 crore and a lifetime collection of Rs 30-35 crore. The film might have sustained longer had it met with a positive word but it seems unlikely.
- Although the film is clashing with Dev Patel’s Hotel Mumbai, it might not pose a significant challenge at the ticket counters.
- The real challenge for Commando 3 will begin next week with the release of Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar’s Pati Patni Aur Woh as well as Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon and Arjun Kapoor.
- Another disadvantage for Commando 3 is the lack of buzz around it. The trailer, as well as, songs of the film have received a dull response. While Vidyut Jammwal has failed to show versatility as a performer, Adah Sharma and Angrira Dhar lack a massive fanbase to bring in the audience to the theatres.
Helmed by Aditya Datt and bankrolled under the banner of Reliance Entertainment and Motion Picture Capital, the movie also stars Gulshan Devaiah as the antagonist to give a tough competition to Vidyut Jammwal.
