Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and Tabu-starrer Jawaani Jaaneman has hit the theatres today—Friday, January 31. The film, which has been helmed by Nitin Kakkar, is expected to earn Rs 5 crore on the opening day. Although there is no other big release at the box office, Jawaani Jaaneman is expected to have a slow start at the box office given that there has not been much hype around the film.
Jawaani Jaaneman stars Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in the lead roles and the film also stars Kubbra Sait, Chunky Pandey, Kumud Mishra, Farida Jalal and Kiku Sharda in supporting roles. The film has been backed by Jackky Bhagnani, Saif Ali Khan, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Jay Shewakramani.
With Ajay Devgn’s Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior still scoring big at the box office, Jawaani Jaaneman will need a good word of mouth to have a good opening weekend collection.
Saif Ali Khan and Tabu have previously worked in movies like Hum Sath Sath Hain and Biwi No 1 and it will be interesting to see them pair opposite each other on the silver screen.
Jawaani Jaaneman will enjoy its run at the box office until February 7 as movies like Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara will be releasing that day.
Saif Ali Khan, who was last seen in Tanhaji, will also be seen in Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara. Tabu, who was De De Pyaar De, Bharat, and Andhadhun, will also be seen in Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Jawaani Jaaneman is a comedy-drama and will also mark the Bollywood debut of Alaya Furniturewala, who will play the role of Ajay Devgn’s daughter in the film. The early reviews for the film are out and Jawaani Jaaneman is getting mixed reactions from fans as well as critics.
