Pati, Patni Aur Woh box office collection day 3: Kartik Aaryan is one actor who is out on a run to beat his own record at the box office. Started out with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, the actor has only been going up the ladder and now he has delivered his highest opening weekend film Pati, Patni Aur Woh co-starring Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. As the name suggests, the movie revolves around his character Chintu Tyagi who is stuck between his wife Vedika Tyagi (Bhumi Pednekar) and woh Tapasya Singh (Ananya Panday).
Despite being released alongside historical drama Panipat starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt, Pati, Patni Aur Woh is comfortably attracting the audiences and packing a comfortable total. Exceeding all expectations, the film has clearly managed to emerge as the first choice of cine-goers this weekend.
Sharing the trade figures of Pati, Patni Aur Woh on Twitter, Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has revealed that Kartik Aaryan has bagged his highest 3 day opener till date. The film earned Rs 9.10 crore on Friday, Rs 12.33 crore on Saturday and Rs 14.51 crore on Sunday, packing a total of Rs 35. 94 crore.
Meanwhile, Panipat is struggling at cinema screens by earning only Rs 17.50 crore on its opening weekend. Since the growth over the weekend is so low, it is unlikely that the film will pick any pace in the upcoming days. Speaking about its day-wise collection, Panipat earned Rs 4 crore on Friday, Rs 6 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.50 crore on Sunday. When it comes to competition, Pati, Patni Aur Woh might find it hard to sustain alongside releases like Mardaani 2, Dabangg 3 and Good Newwz.
Helmed by Mudassar Aziz and bankrolled by T Series, Pati, Patni Aur Woh is the remake of a 1978 film that goes by the same name and featured Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur in lead roles.
