Ashiqui 2 fame director Mohit Suri will next be working on the squeal of his hit revenge drama film Ek villain, this time with an entirely new star cast of John Abraham, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Disha Patani with the latest entry being Tara Sutaria
Tara will be seen playing a musician in the film, and as per reports her it will be one of the central characters of the film.
The director in an interview said he was always looking for an actor who could get the nuances of a musician right and luckily for him, Tara has been practicing music all her life which makes her the perfect casting choice for the film.
The news of Student of the year 2 actor joining the cast came into the public eye when the official Balaji Telefilms’ Instagram account shared a newspaper article that broke the story of the actor joining the cast, which was then reposted by Tara Sutaria herself with the caption all set for some villainy.
The film is scheduled to release on the 8th of January in 2021 and will bring back the pairing of Disha Patani and Aditya Kapoor which was much appreciated by viewers and audiences alike in Mohit Suri’s recent Malang.
The first film Ek Villain featured Sidharth Malhotra, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Shraddha Kapoor and was one of the highest-grossing films of that year however the second film won’t pick from where the last story ended and would have an entirely new premise with just the shared characteristic of two villains or characters with grey shades crossing each other’s paths, like Raghu and Rakesh in the first installment.
Ek Villain 2 is set to go on floors later this year and will be produced under the banner of Balaji Telefilms and is shaping up to the biggest Mohit Suri film yet.
