Jawaani Jaaneman box office collection day 1: The wait for this week’s much-anticipated release Jawaani Jaaneman starring Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Alaya F is finally over. Marking the acting debut of Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaya F, Jawaani Jaaneman narrates the story of a party freak middle-aged man, who gets the shock of his life after he bumps into his daughter. What happens further is no less than a rollercoaster ride.
Out in the theatres this Friday, Jawaani Jaaneman has met with a mixed response from the critics and audiences. Even though the film has had a average opening, it is still higher than some of Saif Ali Khan’s previous few solo releases like Laal Kaptaan. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared the first day box office collection of Jawaani Jaaneman on his Twitter account.
In his tweet, Taran Adarsh has revealed that Jawaani Jaaneman has earned Rs 3.24 crore on its opening day. To secure a solid opening week collection and a longer run at the cinema screens, the film needs to show considerable growth over the week.
At the ticket counters, Jawaani Jaaneman is receiving a stiff competition from Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan’s film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior as well as Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s film Street Dancer 3D. Next week’s release Malang starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu might also hamper Jawaani Jaaneman’s growth at the cinema screens.
Helmed by Nitin Kakkar and bankrolled under the banner of Pooja Entertainment, Black Knight Films and Northern Lights films, Jawaani Jaaneman also stars Kubbra Sait, Chunky Panday, Farida Jalal and Kiku Sharda in key roles.
