Malang box office collection day 2: Love is in the air as the Valentine’s Day week has finally kickstarted. To take ample opportunity of the romantic occasion, Aashiqui 2 fame director Mohit Suri has released his latest film Malang starring one of the hottest on-screen pairs at the moment Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani. Ever since the trailer of Malang has released, all what the fans can talk about is their sizzling chemistry.
Going by the initial numbers, it seems like Malang has managed to hit the right chord and invite the audiences to cinemas. On its opening day, Malang managed to take an average to good opening by earning Rs 6.71 crore and now the number has shot up on its second day. A report by Box Office Collection suggests that Malang has earned Rs 9.07 crore, packing a total collection of Rs 15.78 crore.
While the makers of the film are yet to share the official box office estimates of day 2, it can be confidently said that the film has turned out beneficial for Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani. Along with garnering praises for their on-screen persona, chemistry and performances, Malang has also become Aditya’s highest opener till date.
With Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Malang, also released Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film Shikara. Highlighting the plight of Kashmiri Pandits, Shikara is riding high on critical acclaim but has failed to garner big numbers at the box office. Henceforth, Malang is the biggest release of this week.
Helmed by Mohit Suri and bankrolled by T Series and Northern Lights Entertainment, Malang also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu in key roles. After Malang, Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in the upcoming film Sadak 2 and Ludo. Meanwhile, Disha Patani will be seen in Salman Khan’s much anticipated film Radhe.
