Realme is likely to launch a new budget smartphone in India soon. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is working on the upcoming phone currently which will debut as Realme 5i. Realme’s budget smartphone has also been spotted on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Wi-Fi Alliance certification platforms. Earlier, the Realme 5i has also been seen on Thailand’s NBTC and Indonesia’s TKDN websites.
The upcoming smartphone of Realme is expected to be a cheaper alternative in the series of the phones by the company like Realme 3i in the Realme 4 series. Also, Realme 5i is likely to launch with the dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It will sport a model number RMX2030 and the smartphone will run on Android Pie.
The news has come at a time when the company is all set to launch Realme XT 730G on December 17 in India alongside its first truly wireless headphones. Realme’s headphones are expected to come with touch-sensitive controls for playback and volume adjustments. Also, the headphones are likely to have a charging case like Apple AirPods.
The company has not revealed any hint about the upcoming smartphone. In terms of pricing, the Realme 3i was launched in two storage variants. The base variant of the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 7,999 and the high-end variant of the smartphone is priced at Rs 9,999. It is also expected that Realme might reveal more details about the phone at the launch of its Realme XT 730G on December 17 in India.
