Heart attacks are becoming a major problem in today’s era and the researchers were working on this problem for so long. Recently, they have discovered a way by which the death rates happening due to heart attacks will dropdown. The scientists are building up a new AI-powered technology that can detect the heart failures days before it is going to happen.
The technology is evolving every day and is used a lot in medical science that helped humans to cure several dangerous diseases. Now, it is also going to minimize the hospitalization rates of heart attack patients, by introducing the AI-powered sensor which is going to monitor the human body functions.
The sensor works after attaching a patch to the user’s body that will monitor each activity of the user, right from his heart rate and rhythm, breathing patterns, sleep quality to body posture. After collecting all the informations the data is then driven to a smartphone app through Bluetooth which can be easily accessed by the user.
The technology was discovered and tested by the team of researchers from the University of Utah Health and VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. They have tested it on 100 heart failure patients of an average age of 68 and kept them under observation for three months to test the capability of the sensor.
The sensor was working fine as it anticipated correctly 80% of the time when the patient was needed to be admitted to the hospital. The scientist believes that this technology can bring a huge change in medical science by preventing one in three heart failure.
