Days ahead of polling for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2020, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led-Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday released its manifesto for the next 5 years. The manifesto was released by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia in presence of senior party leaders and workers. The manifesto has been named as 28-point guarantee card that assures quality education, clean water, 24-hour electricity, doorstep delivery of ration, Rs 1 crore compensation to kin’s of sewage cleaner if he dies on duty.
Addressing the media, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said his party has a clear vision to provide the basic facilities to every common man so that he/she can live with dignity and prosperity. Sisodia added that AAP will focus on quality education, 24-hour electricity, and clean water. Many new proposals like doorstep delivery of ration, free pilgrimage facility to 10 lakh senior citizens.
AAP will propose a pilot project to allow markets to open 24X7 and to continue efforts for Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill, Sisodia added. He said this manifesto will empower youth and women the most.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he is eager to debate with BJP’s CM candidate about plans of action for the betterment of Delhi.
The Capital will witness polling on February 8, 2020, and the counting of votes has been scheduled for February 11, 2020.
