Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic beat 2016 Wimbledon finalist Milos Raonic by 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(1) to reach the semi-final of the Australian Open.

With this win, Djokovic has completed a 10-0 lead over the Canadian. The Serbian tennis player has faced some issues with his contact lenses during the third set but eventually managed a victory. He will take on the Swiss legend Roger Federer in the semi-final of the Australian Open.

Federer is a 20-time grand slam champion and won the Australian Open six times. However, Federer achieved a hard-fought win against the ATO World No. 100 Tennys Sandgren. The 38-year-old beat the American 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, 7-6, 6-3 on Tuesday in Melbourne. Federer hasn’t been in great touch from the very start of the open. He had to earn a tough win again against Filipi Krjinovic in the second-round and defeated John Millman and Marton Fucsovics in the third and fourth rounds respectively.

The fourth set was leveled at 6-6 and the Swiss star defeated Sandren 10-8 in the tiebreaker to take the match into the final set. However, in the fifth and final set Federer looked in his old form and took away the match from Sandgren with winning the set 6-3.

In the post-match conference, FedEx said that he got incredibly lucky. he admitted that at the start of the match he wasn’t at his best but as it went on he felt better about his game.

With two big giants facing each other in the semi-final of the Australian Open, it will be interesting to see who holds the last laugh.
