After a successful home season, Indian cricket team is ready to challenge New Zealand in their own country. BCCI has announced the teams for the 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs that will commence from January 24. Indian cricket team dominated every visiting nation during their home season that has helped to built a positive environment in the team dressing room. After a heart wrenching loss in the 2019 World Cup semifinals against the Kiwis, Indian team bounced back with back to back series victory across every format.

There have been some major changes made in the Indian squad for the upcoming tour. Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out from the T20Is and ODIs that has given Prithvi Shaw a chance to make ODI debut. Sanju Samson has alo been included in the T20 side.

Its the second time that India will be playing a series outside their home conditions since 2019 World Cup. Its New Zealand, the same side that ended India’s world cup campaign in 2019 and India would be eager to take on the hosts. Here is India’s T20 and ODI squad for the upcoming tour:

Prithvi Shaw has been included in the 16 man ODI squad which means we might see him making ODI debut for India against New Zealand. The talented youngster has made a tremendous comeback in cricket after facing 8 month ban. The kind of ability that the youngster posses, he would surely be looking to have a go at the Kiwis.
