India vs Bangladesh 1st Test at Indore: India and Bangladesh are set to lock horns in the 10th encounter between the two nations at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Thursday, November 14. Many matches in the past have been delayed or abandoned due to rain or bad weather, however, the same will not be repeated in Indore as the weather is expected to remain perfect.
The temperature is expected to remain around 20 degrees Celcius during the day. There are absolutely no chances of precipitation. The match will be played in sunny conditions with humidity of around 46 per cent. It means we can get to watch live-action for five days. The match can conclude early only if any team fails to perform.
Meanwhile, the Mominul Haque-led team will be looking to register first win against Virat Kohli-led men in the red-ball cricket. They have not been able to defeat the world No 1 India in the past nine games played between the two nations. Out of the nine matches, India have won seven with two games ending in a draw.
It will not be easy for Bangladesh to give a tough time to India, given Shakib Al Hasan’s two-year ban and Tamim Iqbal’s pulling out of the tour. The International Cricket Council punished Hasan, the world-class all-rounder, for failing to report the bookie’s approach. While Tamim, the opener, did not come to India as his wife was expecting their second child.
India will be looking to dominate Bangla Tigers 2-0 and win the 12th consecutive home Test series. Recently, India became the first team to win the 11 consecutive home Test series. Meanwhile, the second game of the series will be played at the Eden Gardens, starting from November 22. For the first time, both the team will play a da-nigh pink-ball game.
