Afghanistan is ready to face West Indies in the three-match ODI series at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Wednesday. This will be the first 50-over encounter for Rashid Khan and Co after the World Cup 2019. On the other hand, West Indies will be led by Kieron Pollard, who has been elected as the skipper of the Carribean cricket team after the poor show in the World Cup 2019.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan started off his journey as a captain with an impressive win against Bangladesh in the one-off Test match. The young man then led the Afghanistan team to victory in the T20I series against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. The south Asian team will look to have a similar result in the upcoming ODI series.

Kieron Pollard will be playing his first ODI after three years. West Indies had met Afghanistan in the World Cup the Carribean won the match by 23 runs.
