India vs Bangladesh: India trailed by 64 runs at 150 score in the first test match against Bangladesh in Indore on day 1 on Thursday. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin Bangladesh feels it was a brave decision of Bangladesh to bat first after winning the toss. They didn’t expect the outcome. They thought they would bowl but opting for batting is a commendable part. He also praised some batsmen for their beautiful batting in the morning.
Also pointed out that it was not easy come and play that has got a bit of life.
The right-handed batsman also termed called the Indian pace trio of Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Umesh Yadav as ‘lethal pace bowling attack’.
Shami dismissed three wickets while Yadav and Sharma picked two wickets each and swept Bangladesh to 150.
Shami knocked out Rahim on day 1 which became the highlight of match. The strategy of setting up the batsman with variations in angles alongside with a fair idea of probing line all through before going wide and one back in sharply worked the best.
Bangla Tigers had a disappointing performance after they lost their openers Imrul Kyles (6) and Shadman Islam (6) at a low score.
Though Mohammad Mithun and skipper Mominul Haque gave a stable position of 19 runs for the third wicket.
But after being dismissed by pacer Mohammed Shami in front of the wickets after scoring 13 runs.
Mushfiqur Rahim partnership with Haque began in the middle and they batted till 68-run for the fourth wicket before the latter was dismissed by Ashwin.
Haque played his innings at 37 runs.
An addition of the 16-runs for the fifth wicket by Mahmudullah along with Rahim.
Later Mahmudullah was scalped by Ashwin after giving a knock of 10 runs.
The last batting pair of Bangladesh Rahim and Liton Das again gave a stand of 25-run before Rahim (43). He was sent back to the pavilion by Shami, thus lowering their score to 140/6.
