India opener Rohit Sharma once again showed his class in the third T20I against New Zealand where he hit his fifty in 23 balls. Sharma who has been unsuccessful to make a big score so far in the series, looked in good touch from the very first of the third match.

New Zealand bowlers was once again ordinary with their most experienced member of the bowling department, Tim Southee leaked 39 runs in 4 overs. Indian batsmen were harsh particularly on Hamish Bennett. He has given 54 runs in 24 balls. Kiwi spinner Mitchell Santner took one wicket while gave away 37 runs in his 4 years. Hosts Indian origin bowler Ish Sodhi was economical as visitors were able to make just 23 runs in his 4 overs.

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma’s opening partnership was brilliant today as well. They has 89-run partnership before Colin de Grandhomme gave the much-needed breakthrough to the Blackcaps.

Indian team management went through some experiment in the middle-order today. Young all-rounder Shivam Dube was sent at No 3 while skipper Virat Kohli and in form Shreyas Iyer came at 4 and 5 respectively. However, Dube has been failed to use the opportunity as he score just 3 runs off 7 balls.

Kohli scored 38 runs off 27 balls which fueled the Indian innings. Iyer made 17 off 16 while Manish Pandey played a quickfire innings of 14 runs off 6 balls.

The visitors set 180-run target for New Zealand. The hosts has some power in their batting line-up with the likes f Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor. It will be interesting to see how these renowned 20-over batsman face Shami-Bumrah in a do or die match.
