New Zealand team management have called up country tallest bolwer Kyle Jamieson for the upcoming three-match ODI series against India. The pacer from Auckland is expected to make his debut in the first ODI on February 5.
India will play three ODI matches against the New Zealand starting on February 5 in Mount Maunganui. The 25-year-old is 6’8 feet tall and has been impressive with the ball when he played for the New Zealand A recently.
Jamieson has played 26 list A mathes where he has taken 33 wickets with an economy of 5.44. He played 13 matches for New Zealand and picked up 15 wickets.
Jamieson’s extra height always help him to get some extra bounce from the pitch. Blackcaps team management might play the new talent given the pitch condition of the Mount Maunganui. The young Kiwi bowler took 6 wickets for 7 runs in New Zealand’s domestic T20 league.
Jamieson picked up 4 wickets against India A in Christchurch in last week. He also knows batting as he has a List A fifty and three first-class fifties to his name. He has a strike rate of 116.66 in List A matches.
Jamieson was included n the New Zealand squad in place of Lockie Ferguson in theam’s tour to Australia at the end of last year. However, he didn’t got the opportunity to get onto the field.
