At the toss before a match between Paarl Rocks and Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in the Mzansi Super League (MSL) 2019 at the Boland Park, on Sunday, Paarl Rocks captain Faf du Plessis stunned the match presenter with an honest answer. Informing about the changes in playing Xi ahead of the match, du Plessis said Hardus Viljoen will not be playing as he’s lying in bed with his sister after getting married on Saturday. Reports said Hardus Viljoen and Faf du Plessis sister Remi Rhynners were dating each other from last over a year and tied the wedding knot on Sunday. Faf du Plessis has a huge fan following in India too as he is a top-order batsman for the Chennai Super Kings. While South African fast bowler Hardus Viljoen has been a part of Kings XI Punjab.
After winning the toss Paarl Rocks opted to bat first and scored 168 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. Du Plessis contributed 22 runs off 19 balls. For Paarl Rocks, Cameron Delport was the top-scorer who hammered 39 runs off 22 balls laced with 9 rolling boundaries.
