Jawaani Jaaneman, Saif Ali Khan and Tabu’s recent release, is a Bollywood comedy and drama film directed by Nitin Kakkar. With this film, actor Alaya Furniturewala, who is Pooja Bedi’s daughter and granddaughter to actor Kabir Bedi, is making her Bollywood debut and would play the lead against Saif Ali Khan.
The film has been doing average at the box office as it collected Rs 20.21 crores in the first weekend. The film collected only Rs 3.24 crores on opening day, Rs 4.55 crores on Saturday and Rs 5.4 crores on Sunday. However, the collections has been deteriorating constantly.
Film expert said Jawaani Jaaneman’s business has been affected because of Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s Street Dancer 3D which were released last week.
Talking about the film Jawani Jaaneman, it’s a comedy film about a 40-year-old father Saif Ali Khan and Alaya Furniturewala as his daughter. In the film, Alaya looks for her father and finds him in London, who is a confirmed bachelor. Drinking, clubbing, womanising are the only things Saif cares for when he is not making money in his business. His life is more about past than future and he finds a purpose in life even though he isn’t really looking for.
The film is a joyride that would keep the audience stuck to their chairs in the hall.
