Rani Mukharji starrer Mardani 2 has finally released and the film is no doubt a heroic thriller. Directed by Gopi Puthran, the film is based on a dangerous societal issue of Rape in India which is committed by juveniles. The film is a sequel of 2014 released Mardaani.
After watching nonsensical films like Pagalpanti, this film is a perfect treat for movie buffs. Mardaani 2 is having an intense and sensible plot just like it’s the previous segment. The film does not comprise of any unwanted action songs, romantic sequences, and action scenes. The film shows how Shivani Roy manages to catch the ruthless serial killer, Sunny. We can say the film is a sure shot thriller and will hook the audience.
The film starts with the introduction of the main antagonist of the film, Sunny who is a 21-year-old goon. Vishal Jethwa has definitely nailed the role. Sunny addresses himself as a maniac and says he is very particular about women. Sunny rapes a girl with the utmost cruelty, seeing the condition of the dead body of the girl Shivani Shivaji Roy who is designated as SP of Kota city, shed tears and she promises to catch the criminal as soon as possible.
Here is the trailer of the film:
Rani Mukherji’s acting and action sequences are commendable. The viewers thoroughly appreciated her acting skills. The audience was totally hooked to the big screen as the film started and the climax of the film compelled everyone to clap.
The story of the film revolves around a cop Shivani Roy(Rani Mukherji) who is against a serial killer, Sunny(Vishal Jethwa). Who ruthlessly rape a woman and then kill her. Shivani Roy takes a bold stand against the criminal and the way she chases him was appreciable. Unlike other cop films, the story of the film does not show anything which seems Filmy.
As the movie starts director Gopi Puthran has shown the brutality of the psycho serial killer. He rapes and muders women mercilessly, as the movie passes a number of dead bodies increases which shakes the system and Shivani Roy.
The plot of the film is set in the education hub of India, Kota, Rajasthan. The movie grips the viewers as soon after the beginning. The intensity of the film successfully reflects the seriousness of the issue covered in the film. The film has strong dialogues that are boldly delivered by Rani Mukherji. The film shows the cunning moves of the serial killer Sunny that he uses to trap the girls. Shivani Shivaji Roy has also used all her brains to think as per his moves and she finally succeeds in identifying him.
Bast part about the cast of the film is, no one has gone over the top. Everyone has played their role up to the mark which helps in conveying the message of the film. Vishal Jethwa has definitely nailed the role of a psycho killer. His Rajasthani accent made his role even more realistic. Rani Mukherji, being a lady cop faces a lot of problems due to male colleagues and the story also shows how women on senior posts are taken for granted.
The film has definitely hampered the stereotype and has shown a woman cop in such an action packed avatar. The film does not have fancy elements that connect the audience and create hype as it is purely based on ground-reality. This film is a must-watch and it also shows the silly mistakes girls do out of immaturity and they get trapped into crime.
